Conservation Biologist

Technology Associates Position Available:

Technology Associates (TAIC) is a dynamic and rapidly growing environmental and information technologies firm providing science-based, cost effective natural resource solutions. Our mission is to identify, verify, recommend, and perform the necessary steps to assist with large-scale conservation planning, permitting, and natural resources assessment and management.
TAIC’s Natural Resources and Conservation Biology Group is equipped to collect, integrate, and analyze biological data, with scientific principles and high-technology analyses to provide objective, science-based evaluations, predictions, and conclusions.

TAIC’s Environmental Services Division specializes in the following technical areas:

* Science-based conservation planning
* Preserve design and Reserve Selection Algorithm modeling
* Conservation scenario development and testing
* GIS-based habitat evaluation modeling
* GIS-based species distribution modeling
* Population viability modeling
* Permit assistance and regulatory compliance
* Habitat management planning
* Endangered species management
* Ecological and habitat restoration
* Biological surveys and evaluations
* Regional wetland permitting
* Wetlands delineations
* Construction monitoring
* Natural resource management
* Habitat and species monitoring and trend analysis
* Mitigation and monitoring programs
* Impact assessments

Open Position:

Senior Conservation Biologist: This position requires a MS in biology, ecology, wildlife management, botany or related field with 5+ years experience in private consulting, environmental planning, biological assessment, or related field in technical areas listed above.

Familiarity with California ecosystems is preferred and excellent writing skills are required. Duties involve technical and project management (including budget management and proposal writing) for habitat conservation planning, biological surveys/assessments, preserve management, and related fieldwork.
