Aspen Environmental Group is seeking an Energy Analyst with strong analytical and writing capabilities to support its energy economics and planning policy practice. This individual will be offered the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of energy efficiency, energy resource planning and energy economics projects. Some quantitative analysis capabilities, including some applications programming experience, and the ability to write well for technical and non-technical readers are important. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to build experience through participating in high level energy policy projects in California and the western United States.

A strong interest in energy policy analysis is required. The ability to understand and interpret engineering-economic energy modeling results is a plus. Practical energy economics and planning experience is desirable. The ability to work in a team environment and a high level of personal motivation are very important.

Please indicate specific experience or training that indicates an interest and ability to contribute to energy policy and planning analysis. Please provide evidence of strong writing and analytical capabilities. A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s preferred) in economics, finance, energy policy, public policy or engineering.
