Duties

Major Duties:

Provide technical assistance and guidance to landowners, local work groups, government agencies and other special interest groups for USDA wetland and wildlife conservation programs and projects.

Develop and implement wildlife habitat restoration and management plans and practices.

Write and process contract support documents, contract modifications, applications for payments and federal program related documents.

Provide guidance to landowners on issues relating to programmatic and regulatory compliance.

Provide programmatic and technical training relating to wetland restoration and enhancement activities.

The work requires some physical exertion such as walking on rough terrain, jumping ditches or climbing steep banks. Exposure to heat, cold, wind and moderate exposure to other environmental factors. The work may also require long periods of data entry in the computer

Travel 1-5 nights per month. A valid state driver's license is required.
