Primary Duties:
Irvine Ranch Land Reserve Trust (http://www.irlrtrust.org) Orange County, CA

We are seeking a creative, motivated, team-oriented Conservation GIS Specialist. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing GIS-related analysis and research for the 50,000-acre Irvine Ranch Wildlands. Major projects are to: 1) map vegetation dynamics over time from aerial photography; 2) support an effort to map and characterize fire history and impacts; and 3) support efforts to model wildlife impacts of human access. Other responsibilities include data acquisition and management, map making, and GIS training.

Qualifications:
• Experience with remote sensing, aerial photography and image orthorectification a plus.
• Master's degree or PhD in geography, ecology, natural resources management or a similar field and 3-5 years of related experience with a GIS focus required.
